Meet the 2026-2028 Governing Council

Chi Omega women have always stepped forward with courage, character, and purpose. Each Sister brings her own light to Chi Omega when she joins, making our Fraternity shine even brighter.

No Sisters better demonstrate stepping forward confidently than our Supreme Governing Council. At the 66th biennial National Convention of Chi Omega, held June 19-21 in Phoenix, Arizona, our delegates elected the next Supreme Governing Council of Chi Omega for the 2026-2028 biennium. The officers are as follows:

  • S.H. Anna Funderburk Buckner, Initiate of Alpha Beta at Auburn University

  • S.T.B. Kelly Rucker Bingel, Initiate of Phi Gamma at Louisiana State University

  • S.K.A. Angie Alpert Fellers, Initiate of Eta Gamma Chapter at the University of South Carolina

  • S.N.V. Elaine Thompson Baker, Initiate of Pi Chapter at the University of Tennessee

  • S.M. Jill Diane Bowman, Initiate of Zeta Beta Chapter at the University of Arizona

The Council is directly responsible for policymaking and the governance of Fraternity business. These women serve as volunteers who support the Fraternity by working day-to-day with the Executive Headquarters staff, Foundation Board of Trustees, national teams and committees, other Chi Omega volunteers, and National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) constituents.

These women are not only accomplished in Chi Omega's work but have achieved many milestones in their personal and professional lives.

Chi Omega is honored to have such a talented group of women serve this biennium, and the Fraternity looks forward to the successes their collective leadership will bring.
