From the beginning, strong leadership has been the hallmark of Chi Omega. Our Fraternity thrives today because of the untiring efforts and wisdom displayed by Governing Council members over the past century. The Governing Council is directly responsible for policy-making and the governance of all Fraternity business. The Council members are dedicated volunteers who work day-to-day with the Executive Headquarters staff, National Leadership Consultants, national teams and committees, National Panhellenic Conference delegates, Chi Omega Foundation Board of Trustees, Chi O Creations Board of Trustees, and other Chi Omega volunteers.

Chi Omega owes much appreciation to these women who exemplify a commitment to excellence in their collective leadership.

Anna Funderburk Buckner
Alpha Beta | Auburn University

Anna Funderburk Buckner is an Initiate of the Alpha Beta Chapter at Auburn University and currently serves as Fraternity National President (S.H.) and Foundation Board of Trustees Vice President.

Anna has also served as Fraternity National Treasurer (S.N.V.), and Fraternity National Vice-President (S.T.B.). In addition to being a former National Leadership Consultant, she is a former advisor to the Omicron Lambda Chapter at Birmingham-Southern College, a former National Recruitment Team member, a Mary Love Collins Scholar recipient, attorney for the National Panhellenic Conference “Something of Value” program, and a member of the Margaret Hyde Heritage Society.

In addition to her bachelor of science and master of business administration degrees, Anna also holds a juris doctorate from Cumberland School of Law. She is managing partner of Buckner Law Firm with offices in Auburn and Birmingham, Alabama, where she practices in the areas of estate and trusts, taxation, real estate, corporate law, and planned giving. In addition to full-time tax law, Anna is General Counsel for Auburn University's athletic foundation.

She resides in Auburn, Alabama with her husband, Bo, and their son, J.R.

Kelly Rucker Bingel
Phi Gamma | Louisiana State University

Kelly Rucker Bingel was initiated into the Phi Gamma Chapter at Louisiana State University. During her time as a collegian, she served as G.H. and Panhellenic Delegate. Upon graduation, she traveled for Chi Omega as a National Leadership Consultant from 1989-1990.

She then began her career as a newspaper reporter in Houston and Tulsa before moving to Washington D.C. where she spent a decade working for Blanche Lincoln in the House and Senate. During this time, Kelly also earned her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University. She concluded her tenure as a Congressional staff member in the role of Blanche’s Chief of Staff in the Senate.

For Chi Omega, Kelly has served on the National Recruitment Team and as Co-Chair of the Chi Omega Foundation 1895 Society. She has been on staff and facilitated several Conventions and Firesides Leadership Trainings.

Kelly served as an advisor for the Eta Lambda Chapter at American University from 2016-2022. Additionally, Kelly was a Foundation Trustee for Chi Omega for nearly a decade, serving from 2015-2024. She was installed as S.T.B. in 2024 at Chi Omega’s 65th biennial Convention.

She has utilized her legislative expertise to serve on Chi Omega’s Government Relations Committee and annual Hill Visits. She is also a member of the Chi Omega Foundation Margaret Hyde Heritage Society. Kelly has served as the Chi Omega Fraternity and Sorority PAC Board representative and NPC Government Relations Advisory Committee member.

Professionally, Kelly has lobbied for AT&T and was the only female partner in the bipartisan lobbying firm Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen Bingel & Thomas. Kelly is on the Board of Visitors for the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication and the Board of Directors for SCORE.

Kelly’s husband, Thad, is a founding partner of Command Consulting Group. Kelly and Thad opened Dynamic Gymnastics in 2013 and sold it a decade later. She is a proud mother to son, Johnny, and daughter, Hogan.


S.K.A.

Missy Ganaway Pask
Sigma Alpha | Miami University

Missy Ganaway Pask is an Initiate of the Sigma Alpha Chapter at Miami University and currently serves as Fraternity National Secretary (S.K.A.). Formerly, Missy served as National Ritual Officer (S.M.).

In addition to being a former Convention Director, Firesides Leadership Training Leader, and National Leadership Consultant, she is a former member of the following teams: Convention Leadership Team, National Advisory Training Team, Wellness and Safety Committee, and chapter advisor to Mu Lambda Chapter at the University of Dayton.

Missy and her husband, John, live in Dallas, Texas, and have two Chi Omega daughters. MacKenzie is an alumna of the Xi Kappa Chapter at Texas A&M and Morgan is an alumna of the Epsilon Alpha Chapter at the University of Oklahoma. Missy owns her own interior design business, MGP Interiors & Design. Missy has been active in her community with Junior League, National Charity League (NCL), and Make-A-Wish North Texas. Additionally, she has volunteered with various school committees, parent clubs, and church committees.


S.N.V.

Jill Diane Bowman
Zeta Beta | University of Arizona

Jill Bowman is an Initiate of the Zeta Beta Chapter at the University of Arizona and currently serves as Fraternity National Treasurer (S.N.V.) and Senior RFM Specialist.

Formerly, Jill served as a National Leadership Consultant, a member of the National Recruitment Team, and has been involved with Fraternity extension presentations. Jill graduated with a bachelor's degree in molecular and cellular biology with a minor in math, chemistry, and physics. While in the chapter, Jill served as G.H. and G.T.B. 

Jill currently resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband Brent, and their two children Brynn and Drew. She is an avid volunteer at her children’s school, serving most recently as Auction Chair and PTO President. In 2023, Jill received her master's from the Colorado School of Public Health, with a focus on leadership and public health practice.

Elaine Baker
Pi | Tennessee

Elaine was initiated into Pi Chapter at University of Tennessee and received her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Mathematics. Elaine served her chapter as Recruitment Chair and G.T.B.

For Chi Omega, Elaine has served as Financial Advisor to Tau Zeta at Emory and Personnel Advisor at Pi Chapter at Tennessee. On the national level, Elaine served on the National Recruitment Team for 9 years, Co-Leader of Firesides, Co-Chair of the Strategic Volunteer Development Initiative, Chair of the Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute, and Chair of the 2022 Convention Resolutions Committee.

Under Elaine’s leadership as Chair of The Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute of Chi Omega, The Laurie Leadership Institute saw double-digit increases in volunteer alumnae with new and diverse talent sets, expansion in the number of participants in Flagship sessions, and enhancement in The Laurie Leadership Institute curriculum (virtual and in person) to ensure audience relevance. As the Co-Chair of the Strategic Volunteer Development Initiative, Elaine had a vision for the group and recognized the various skill sets of the team members that could be maximized to produce a strategy for alumnae enablement, recruiting, training, & retaining volunteers, and preparing future fraternity leaders.

Professionally, Elaine serves as Executive Vice President for Global Payments in Atlanta, Georgia, where she currently leads risk operations globally. Elaine serves on the boards of Global Payments Canada and Heartland Payroll Solutions. In her community, she has served on the board for Women Leaders in Action. Elaine lives in Roswell, Georgia with her husband, Brad.
