I was promoted to the rank of Captain and have been honored with two Army Commendation Medals and two Army Achievement Medals in recognition of my service and leadership. I’ve also earned the Expert Soldier Badge, Airborne Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, each reflecting a high level of training, discipline, and commitment to excellence throughout my military career.

When it feels scary to jump, that is exactly when you jump, otherwise you end up staying in the same place your whole life.

What advice would you give to someone entering your field?

Be confident in your voice and your skills, both as an engineer and a leader. Your perspective is not just valuable, it's essential for the success of your team and your mission. Ask questions, seek out mentors early, and never hesitate to take ownership and lead when you have the opportunity. Resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic will carry you far, but don’t underestimate the power of building strong relationships and leading with authenticity.
