The Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute of Chi Omega: Spring Flagship Session 2026

Chi Omega held its annual Spring Flagship session of The Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute of Chi Omega this past April. 31 collegians and 27 alumnae gathered at Chi Omega Executive Headquarters to renew their dedication to the Sisterhood, foster meaningful fellowship, and discuss what it means to be a resilient leader.

Participants arrived Friday afternoon and took professional headshots before the welcome reception in a Graceland-esque room, where women of all ages began building friendships that would blossom as the weekend progressed.

After the reception, Sisters headed to the opening dinner, where they reconnected with Chi Omega history, celebrated milestones in our Sisterhood, and learned more about the many ways to engage in a lifetime membership experience. Taking time to highlight our shared Sisterhood fostered a valuable sense of togetherness and a shared vision among the cohort.

“Being surrounded by so many accomplished Sisters in one room was incredibly inspiring," said collegian Kennedy Krebs, Delta Lambda | Northern Arizona.

After the meal, Sisters engaged in a short evening workshop before retiring to the Owl’s Nest for a Sisterhood bracelet-making event. Alumnae and collegians shared stories and snacks as they crafted, proving once again that Chi Omega is for a lifetime.

Between Saturday workshops, participants toured our newly renovated Executive Headquarters. The Myth Garden and the updated Archives Museum were fan favorites. Later, participants engaged in Sisterhood Chats, a time for all to have deep conversations in an intimate setting. Collegians shared experiences from their chapter Sisterhood Chats, while alumnae enjoyed engaging in something that replicates the current collegiate membership experience, which was new to them.

“Not only did I learn more about myself and my leadership capabilities, I was inspired by the women around me. My love for Chi Omega overflowed my already full heart!” said Zeta Delta | Nebraska–Omaha collegian Ellie Eischeid.

The day wrapped with Saturday night trivia, an absolute hoot! Our volunteers brought the energy as emcees, and our Sisters got to put their history knowledge from their earlier tour to the test. Each team came up with their own name and a cheer to perform, and by the end of the evening, they were dancing with the rest of their Sisters.

On the Sisters’ final day together, participants reflected on what they’d learned and expressed gratitude for the experience and the women they’d shared it with. After a celebratory graduation and farewell brunch, the cohort parted ways, but with new friendships and knowledge.

Participants left the Flagship session of The Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute with more confidence in their leadership abilities, motivation to grow, and gratitude for their shared Sisterhood.

“Being surrounded by driven, inspiring Chi Omegas during this unique training opportunity helped me see my strengths more clearly and appreciate what makes everyone else shine. I walked away more confident, more connected, and honestly just fired up to grow. I’m so grateful for the chance to reconnect with Chi Omega and the Sisters who make it so special,” said alumnae Sandy Ragley, Psi Theta | Old Dominion.

Applications for the Spring 2027 Laurie Leadership Institute session open in January 2027.
