In dental school, I received the International College of Dentists Humanitarian Award. I conducted award-winning research, which was published in Oxygen: “Phosphorous-and-Silver-Doped Crystalline Oxide Coatings for Titanium Implant Surfaces.” I am President-Elect for the Mississippi Dental Association’s District V. I volunteer with Dental Lifeline Network, providing 100% donated dental services to vulnerable patients who cannot afford treatment, and have been chosen as a top volunteer in Mississippi. I serve the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services, assisting patients who qualify for the rehab program. I am a Veteran Affairs Community Care Network provider, providing care to veterans who need immediate care.

What motto or phrase motivates you?

The Platinum Rule: treat others as they would like to be treated, rather than how you would like to be treated.

What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Passionate, Caring, Driven

What advice would you give to someone entering your field?

Work hard and don’t get discouraged. Being a dentist is hard, and owning your own practice is another beast entirely. Although it can be physically demanding and stressful, it is incredibly rewarding to know that each day you have the opportunity to truly make a difference in people’s lives through their health, confidence, and smile.
