Chi Omega is saddened by the death of Alyssa Weaver, a member of our Xi Chapter at Northwestern University. Letitia Fulkerson, Chi Omega's national president, is reaching out to Xi Chapter leaders to offer support to Alyssa's family, friends, and Sisters during this difficult time.

"Alyssa brightened everyone's day with her unyielding enthusiasm and contagious smile. Alyssa had a vibrant personality and was driven to follow her dreams. She gave so much of herself and made such an impact on everyone she met. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed," said Xi Chapter President Hailey Arterburn.

Chi Omega is respecting the family's and chapter's privacy as they mourn the loss of Alyssa. A memorial service was held December 2 in Great Neck, NY and another will be held December 9 at 1 pm in Norfolk, Virginia at HD Oliver Norfolk Chapel. A fund is being set up in Alyssa's memory for Sisters who wish to give in her honor. Details about how to contribute will be forthcoming.
