A Message from
Jean Mrasek, Chi Omega National President

Dear Chi Omega Parents,

Welcome to Chi Omega, and congratulations to your daughter – she has selected membership in the most prestigious women's fraternal organization in the country. Chi Omega is a wise investment for worthy purposes. We strongly believe that Chi Omega is a positive catalyst in the lives of young women, preparing them for leadership roles during college and beyond.

Chi Omega's six founding purposes – scholarship, community service, career development, quality activities, strength of character, and friendship – hold true today and serve as the foundation of our membership education program. We encourage you to further explore this web site and our New Member web site to learn more about the Chi Omega experience.

Your daughter is embarking upon a journey that will last her entire life. Along the way she will make life-long friends who will support and encourage her. She will be guided by alumnae Chi Omegas who serve as chapter advisors and house corporation board members. In time, your daughter will be a coach and mentor to other Chi Omega sisters.

We hope that your daughter chooses to make the most of her Chi Omega experience. There are many opportunities in Chi Omega that will broaden her horizons and enrich her life. She can be a study buddy, a Big Sister, a committee chair, and even a chapter officer elected by her peers. No matter the leadership position, we expect our Sisters to put Chi Omega values into action as role models through appropriate behavior and actions.

We know that leadership is not always easy. Your daughter may be presented with challenges that require sound decision-making and the courage to implement those decisions. College is the time to learn self-reliance and problem solving. She can use as guideposts the five words inscribed on the Chi Omega Greek Theatre: Knowledge, Integrity, Courage, Culture, and Intelligence. By staying true to Chi Omega's values and purposes, your daughter will flourish and leave a lasting legacy.

Parents are important members of our big Chi Omega family. Start the conversation. Ask your daughter what she enjoys the most about Chi Omega. Discover the many opportunities made available to her through Chi Omega. We invite you to connect with Chi Omega by playing an active role in your daughter's membership experience.
